Im biassed, being a MuLab user since the beginning, but for my money, MuLab has never let me down and also has never made me feel like i was missing anything. theres also complex automation envelopes for all types of tracks and parameters. This is true of most types of synthesis, as MuLab covers most bases as well as audio tracking and midi. this means you can avoid any extra purchases just to use your computer to control your modular. it allows direct control of any cv target as long as you also own a dc coupled audio interface, like expert sleepers es-8 or the like.
